This is really the first song I wrote from scratch. It was originally meant as a kind of Hearths Warming Eve song. I have had it for a while, but never have been able to record it until recently. I really wanted to get it out there before the Starswirl micro-comic comes out and the cannon (possibly) changes. (Which is absolutely fine with me, I love the comics. I just wanted it to get out there before it changed.) For me (in this head cannon) Starswirl was battling in the unicorn kingdom at the same time that Clover was battling at the Hearths Warming Eve story. The song tells the rest. I hope you all enjoy my first work. :) Peace.
PS: Someone PLEASE make some halfway decent and cool bluegrass inspired dubstep or electronic songs.

Starswirl the Bearded the great unicorn
Spoke to his mother when he was first born

Little did he know his demise it would be
Clover the Clever was his pupils’ name
She would soon have her own claim to fame
When the windegos came to pry them apart
Clover the Clever just followed her heart

Then the icy winds came in great gusts from the north
They blew this way and that way and backwards and forth
The ponies were starving and froze to the core
Then Starswirl the Bearded would take it no more
Starswirl the Bearded then took to his craft
To find a solution to the freezing cold draft
He climbed up the valley to the mountain so high
Where the windegos raced around in the sky

He fought with the windegos for those below
To keep them alive he fought Toe to toe
But the windegos fiercely would counterattack
With all of his might the magician fought back
While fighting a windego, that fateful day
Starswirl the Bearded was struck to the clay
Then all his blood ran out from the attack
And now Starswirl the Bearded will never come back.
